little sunday happiness pieces

It's Sunday - leaving aside the fact the weather was supposed to be sunny, but it's not, this Sunday turns out to be a productive one - washing done, cleaning done... now what are we gonna eat? in the meantime, here is a collection of the little things that make me happy today:

birthday cake

I only managed to take a picture of the first layer of my b-day cake; it was a raspberry velvet cake with mascarpone and cream cheese frosting and sprinkled strawberries and blueberries :) this picture is so summery it always brings me to smile :)

roasted hazelnuts

The idea of roasted hazelnuts just got planted in my mind and subsequently my belly; right after finishing this post a packet of hazelnuts will be the source of sweet smell of baked nuts in the kitchen :)

counts as breakfast, good enough... :)

my new tea cups

...are just like me: they don't stop talking about cooking and kitchen stuff and this is what they love:

- spoons and forks

- clean kitchen towels

- hot tomato soup

- the smell of fresh, war just baked bread

-blueberry muffins

- fresh veggies

- baking pies

- cookies

- me

most of all they say "I love cooking!"; these adorable cups were a gift from my colleagues at work and they were meant to be in my kitchen one day! :)
